Rocking the Roles!

We are 2 1/2 weeks away --- how in the world? It was just August 2nd! Everything has been so smooth, perfect and floating along -- until these last few weeks! No wonder there is a "honeymoon" after the wedding! Nit picky details can really grind at you!

While also trying to get the house ready and the wedding details ironed out, John and I have been in premarital counseling (highly recommend!) and reading a few books on marriage. And, boy, have we read some great ones! One I want to encourage all engaged AND married couples to read is "Rocking the Roles." I won't spend time naming all the reasons you need to get your hands on this book, but I will say this: Robert Lewis and William Hendricks take the Biblical perspective on what a man's role is in the home -- and what a woman's role is in the home. God's words says 'we are fearfully and wonderfully made.' Amen to that! And thank you God for desiring the man to be a "Godly leader and provider" and a woman to be "a compassionate supporter of her husband."
